Practice/Surgery restructuring

Following population growth and the additional work this has generated, the Practice/Surgeries have decided to split internal functional activities and employ two Practice Managers. This is not an increase in staff but rather, a restructuring process that allows two managers to focus on specific areas of the workplace and ensure that our patients receive a modern and responsive service.

What does this mean for you?

One of our Practice Managers has become the focus for Human Resources, Medical Intelligence (how we use raw information to inform a responsive service) and Operations (what we deliver every day for you). This individual will have a very busy role but will focus on what should be delivered to our patients on a day-to-day basis.

The second Practice Manager will be responsible for Infrastructure (buildings, equipment and Health & Safety), Information Technology (getting the best from our computers and telephones) and Training (making sure that all our staff remain current in all aspects of training).

The past months have been challenging for all of us and we are particularly grateful for your understanding and support; going forward we will continue to work with the Patient Participation Group (PPG), Healthwatch Rutland and Rutland County Council to ensure that we do the best we can for you (our patients) and would welcome your views and observations to the PPG at any time.
