Somerby Surgery Update

Further to the recent closure of Somerby Surgery for face to face consultations due to the pandemic, we are pleased to announce that we are now able to begin the process of re-opening Somerby Surgery. This will need to be done in careful stages and we will begin by seeing Shielded patients only for essential pre-booked appointments from Monday 22nd June 2020.

Shielded patients are those who have received a letter from the Government, Hospital Consultant or GP Surgery to advise that they are classed as clinically extremely vulnerable to the effects of COVID19.

The Somerby Surgery clinics have been setup to ensure that the risk to Shielding patients is minimised due to the nature of how the Shielding clinic is operating. Using strict control measures and protocols will ensure that the highest level of safety and protection can be observed for our Shielding patients.

We will continue to support and advise our patients over the telephone, and any other patients needing to be seen will continue to be seen at the Market Overton Surgery.

The Partners and staff would like to thank all patients for their continued support during the pandemic and hope that normal clinics can resume as soon as Government guidelines allow, but hopefully this will start to improve access whilst providing care in a safe environment.
